Up for your consideration is this beautiful 1991 Klan one troy oz. .999 fine silver medal. This is the highest grade of material used on any Klan token - there are a few known sterling silver tokens (that are legitimate) such as the KK205, KK210 and KK303 but sterling in its highest grade is only .925 - the birdsell also mentions a KK220 in low grade 7 kt gold but I have examined a couple of these and they are only rolled (plated if you will) and not solid. These .999 Fine silver troy ozs. represent the highest premium of metal value ever used in a Klan token/medal. There are a several different varieties for this medal with the main change occurring with the date: (I have seen a date as early as 1987 and as late as 1995 - so it stands to reason that at a minimum other dates within this range exist). Though I have found no information with regard to mintage numbers one can assume almost assuredly that mintage numbers were fairly low and fluctuated up and down between years. Beautiful mirror finish with reeded edge. Obverse features: The date 1991, a Klansman's hood, a fiery cross and: "Ku Klux Klan". Reverse has a small banner at the top that says: "Ku Klux Klan". Below the banner it says: "Unite America Into One Order Under One Banner" (Obviously the meaning is under the Ku Klux Klan Banner above the statement). Below this statement is a very intricate and ornate calligraphic makers mark and below that it says: ".999 PURE 1 OZ. FINE SILVER". Please note: These were Klan sanctioned and sold for a donation (profits of course going to the Klan) -do not confuse these with the random silver rounds that are out there and are sold by companies with any image (AK-47, Charlie Chaplin , 32' Ford Roadster, etc.) to entice the public -most of these because of the nature of them were sold to members and member's families/friends -you would not find these on QVC. The token is a real beauty with high relief and is intricately designed and detailed. .999 Fine Silver 39mm. Please see my other items and email me with any questions.
