WWII 1944 Radar System Fundamentals / Navships 900,017 / Restricted

Features schematic diagrams, illustrations, and several b/w photographs. Original unclassified WWII US military publication documenting radio ranging equipment. With Foreword and concluding Appendix and Index with text divided into eleven sections titled as: "Elements of radar;" "Functional components of radar system;" "Detailed study of self-synchronized long-wave radar system;" "Detailed study of externally synchronized microwave radar system;" "Timers;" "Transmitters;" "Receivers;" "Indicators;" "Primary power and control circuits;" and "Data transmission and servo systems." The presence of stationary, mobile, and shipboard radar systems among Axis and Allied forces was well known during World War II and hence the non-classified nature of this publication. However, the range and resolution of American radar systems was, of course, highly sensitive and classified and thus specifics in those subject areas are avoided in this booklet.

This came out of an estate of a retired Military man / A High ranking intelligence offer in the u.S. Military with a high Security Clearance / there were many Rare restricted and confidential books in the collection / This book was not readily available to the public and was illegal to own or Distribute in it's day
