PLEASE: BE SURE TO CONTACT ME BEFOREHAND IF A PARTICULAR MARKING OR MAKER IS REQUIRED! STAMPINGS SELL OUT ALL THE TIME, AND A FEW WILL BECOME OBSOLETE OVER TIME. Normal choice in these auctions is COLOR OF FITTINGS. Anything more specific, contact me BEFOREHAND. -----------------------------------These are new, and will smell of cut cowhide, dye, tannic acid, and neatsfoot. If you're allergic to these or have issues, bear that in mind. These are fresh cut, and are usually vacuum packed until not long before I send them, so there WILL be a substantial scent. If you don't like the smell or understand it, don't bid!!! High Quality Reproductions! --------------------------------------- PLEASE SEE THE NEW PHOTOS AT THE VERY BOTTOM!!!! SCROLL DOWN!!! The all black would look GREAT on an AR15/M16 variant or spinoff. I do not stock those all the time, so again: ASK IF INTERESTED!! Inventory changes all the time, and once in a while I get a new marking style....usual way to order is simply "World War I style" (brass hooks) or "World War II style" (steel hooks, darkened).... THESE WERE NORMALLY ASSEMBLED WITH BOTH STANDARD KEEPERS ON THE UPPER ("FRONT") STRAP. Some folks even use 3 keepers, including one on the rear portion. "Hook flats down" is the standard infantry rig. Note: I cannot guarantee the depth of stamping on markings, since like the originals, these vary slightly from specimen to specimen. Take a look at my other auctions. FROM TIME TO TIME, I UNCOVER AUTHENTIC SPECIMENS OF THESE UNITS!!! At the moment markings are "anonymous" black, quite a few MILSCO 1944 (black fittings) and usually a few HOYT 1917 (out right now), Rock Island 1918 (brass WWI, of course!). Frequently have unmarked cordovan/oxblood with brass fittings, JT&L brass fitted, MILSCO 1942, MILSCO 1944, Black fitted RIA 1941, Rock Island 1918...often others! Additional markings may be added and some subtracted at any time, watch for new photos!!! If you MUST have a particular marking, inquire before bidding! I am disposing of these as I dig them out! Please order by "fitting color", as in "black" or "brass", or there may be delays. Bear in mind, many originals bore no markings at all, and many were very shallow stamped. And PLEASE scoll down and read ALL the notes and see all the photos. -------------------------- Scroll all the way down for some more detailed shots! While not authentic, these are pliable, heavy leather, and bear the correct heavy claw furniture, sturdily riveted hooks, and stitched M1887 style keepers. Perfectly credible for use or display, these saw service in World War II and long after on the M1903 and variants, the Model of 1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M14, and various other rifles. The 40's versions usually had blackened metal parts, most frequently of steel.. The rifles shown are for illustration and rigging information ONLY, and are, obviously, NOT INCLUDED. Look at the photos, note the T&C panels, please. This is genuine leather, not plastic! And unlike ancient originals, they shouldn't snap in pieces under normal use. Except for condition, these are difficult to distinguish from the originals! But I do not intend them to fool anyone, they're for use and display. These have never been on a rifle! ................. $8 shipping via best expedited means upon receipt of payment. Target is 3-5 days from receipt of funds. I use FedEx and USPS shipping means, and some local carriers. I do NOT use UPS, ever. See all the notes and captions below. If you use a personal or business check, I do hold until I am advised they have cleared, usually less than 5 working days. No credit cards, no PayPal. No returns unless somehow mis-depicted. -------------------------------Note: I cannot guarantee the depth of stamping on markings, since like the originals, these vary from specimen to specimen. Please order by "fitting color", as in "black" or "brass", or there may be delays. Bear in mind, many originals bore no markings at all, and many were very shallow stamped.
