First, a word about Colt Pocket Hammerless magazines and their proper application. The main difference between the many types of magazine for the same model is the feed lips. Early pistols, (pre 1917 for the .25 and pre 1926 for the .32 and .380) were capable of firing with the magazine removed. These pistols use a magazine with rounded feed lips on the leading edge. These magazines are referred to as "Round Top", or early. After the aforementioned dates, the guns were all equipped with magazine safeties. This means that those guns will not fire with the magazine removed. The correct magazine for those is a later, or "Flat Top" unit. The flat top magazines feature straight feed lips, lengthened at the leading edge to reach up into the pistol and disengage the disconnector which prevents the pistol from firing without the magazine in place. A brief look at my auctions should illustrate the two main types.///////This is the last of only four 1908 .380 Auto magazines I've been able to procure through many years of collecting. Friends, I've saved the best for last. This magazine is as-new mint condition. Some sellers will throw that word around. I don't. This flat-top mag has some very minor box wear, but has never been loaded or inserted into a gun. This item is top-shelf and correct for your perfect-condition General Officer's issue 1908 with box. /////Take a look at my other auctions. I am liquidating my collectible Colt magazine collection of twenty years. Many excellent+ 1903 variations will be listed, as well as some 1908s and 1911s. Don't let my awesome collection flooding the market make you think these are easy to come by. This is a rare opportunity. Once they're gone, they're gone. ///// Payment to be made by cash, check, or money order. sales to the US only. Shipping via USPS is on me. All sales final. Thanks for looking.
