______See the bottom 3 photos for partial current marking selection, but state a second choice, please, just in case! Better yet, simply state a fittings color choice, black or brass!! ________________________ Also note*****: Rifles shown are to demonstrate uses and rigging, NOT included in the auction. Got a very few (effective 9-1-2014) blackened hook RIA 1941. Ask if that's what you need, as these won't last long!!! These are new, and will smell of cut cowhide, tannic acid, and neatsfoot. If you're allergic to these or have issues, bear that in mind. For August-September of 2014, added some new types at the very bottom. Please scroll down, but AGAIN--if you want a particular marking or style, ask BEFORE you bid, not after!!! Note: I cannot guarantee the depth of stamping on markings, since like the originals, these vary from specimen to specimen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHECK MY OTHER AUCTIONS. I sometimes locate authentic specimens of these! But if you mean to shoot your rifle or carry it much, these will serve you better!!! .................................................... THESE ARE HIGH QUALITY, FULL WEIGHT REPRODUCTIONS!!! ................... Watch for any updates! It is prudent to request "black fittings" or "brass fittings"! I have "CS 1917" units. Quite a few brass "anonymous". Others, too. MILSCO 1944. Should have MILSCO 1942 in both black and brass soon, as well as Rock Island Arsenal 1918, and some brass unmarked B.A.R. 3-hook slings. This may soon change! For any particular marking, it is most prudent to contact me ahead of time. Otherwise, simply indicate "black" or "brass". Any leather sling of this design of the rifle's age or OLDER is appropriate, since rifles were not packaged or, when new, issued slung. A couple of new markings will be added shortly. Please order by "fitting color", as in "black" or "brass", or there may be delays. If for some reason you need or prefer a particular marking, please INQUIRE BEFOREHAND to make sure it's on hand. Bear in mind, many originals bore no markings at all, and many were very shallow stamped. _______________________________ And PLEASE scoll down and read ALL the notes and see all the photos. These were the actual issue standard sling for all combat units in World Wars I and II. Very precise reproductions! The rag/web slings, mostly looked down upon with relative contempt, saw use only in the last few months of World War II, and in very small numbers, mainly with brand new units. Others may emerge as I dig through my stuff. As noted, I ran across quite a few MILSCO 1944 marked specimens. However, I have a lot of these, and these marking patterns and script may change. One thing: ALL bear authentically styled maker's marks and dates, and all are appropriate for the correct and original slings they depict. AGAIN: This are beautiful reproductions, not originals. Parenthetically, I bought a number of these and brand new 1918-dated leather BAR slings in 1963 at Fort McCoy Wisconsin, as well as some even older units with brass fittings, so the various forms of these were in service for a very long time. Indeed, they still show up with match rifle competitors. YOU CHOOSE EITHER TYPE WHEN YOU BID, I HAVE PLENTY OF BOTH STYLES. If I locate more maker's markings, I will get them in to these auctions ASAP. $8.00 shipping lower 48. No CREDIT CARDS!!! NO PAYPAL!! We do take personal checks with 1 day normal for clearance. Money orders are fine, do not have to be postal. Shipping is by best means, with the general goal of having this in your hands within three working days. I do not use UPS, EVER, under any circumstances. If you need UPS delivery, find another dealer. No credit cards except via API--VISA
