I have around 30 M1 Garand rifle stocks I need to clear out. So, up for sale are a lot of 5 stocks. Please read the following carefully. These are mainly field grade condition, plus or minus a bit. I am not hand picking them and won't be providing photos of the specific stocks you'll get. Assume each of the five will have some of the following issues: 1) moderate, stable crack (e.g., from the clip latch cutout backward or the magazine floor plate area forward), 2) a painted rack number, 3) a large & deep serial number stamped along the bottom of the butt, 4) arsenal repairs, 5) holes drilled for a grenade sight, 6) numerous bullet dings where a soldier tapped the sides of the stock with a bullet or clip of bullets, and/or 7) a coat of glossy varnish and a pinned on presentation name plate. All will be USGI WWII or postwar walnut. None have cartouches, DAS stamps, open-box SA stamps, ordnance wheels, small lower screw holes, tapered clip latch cutouts, or long channels (I've already pulled out any stocks with these features). Many have rack numbers stamped somewhere on them. I will not check lock-up or overhang on them. Some have a rebuild stamp or extra P proof somewhere. Some will have a loose upper butt plate screw hole (I'm not checking these individually). All will have at least small dents, dings, scratches, chips, and/or gouges. Most will have a few moderate (not slight) dents, scratches, or gouges. Most will require refinishing. None will have unstable structural cracks, gigantic gouges, or large missing pieces. Some will be covered in grease. I'm willing to take moderate "hand selection" requests. Let me know what you're looking for. I have yet to hear ANY negative feedback about these stocks and I've sold a bunch here and on gun forums online. Everyone says they are nicer than they expected and they are surprised at how nice they are based on my description...

Here is an explanation of the provided photos. The photo showing just 5 stocks are a representative handful of the better looking stocks. These were some of the nicer stocks and what you'll get will probably be slightly lower grade on average. The bottom stock in that photo is a foreign hardwood stock; I won't be including these unless requested, although they generally seem to be in better shape. The big pile of stocks are the walnut USGI stocks this ad is for. The small pile of stocks (with the top stock marked IGNORE) are the foreign hardwood stocks. (The one marked IGNORE is a damaged USGI walnut stock that will not be included.)

If you get a lemon (which I will try to avoid), I will replace one stock per lot with a hand-picked alternate if you pay shipping both ways. Other than that, these are AS-IS.

Shipping will be via the method of my choice.

If payment is made via USPS money order or PayPal (see below), I will do my best to ship within 2-3 days. If payment is made via any other method, I will have to wait for payment to clear. Personal checks will take the longest to clear, especially if the buyer doesn't have a lot of positive feedback. In such a case, I will wait two weeks before shipping (I once had a check from a buyer bounce and it took 9 calendar days after deposit before my bank notified me it bounced). I will only accept a personal check if the address printed on the check is the address I'm shipping to and matches your registered address on GunBroker.

I will accept PayPal only if the buyer adds 3% to cover PayPal fees, and I will only ship to the buyer's confirmed address so I get full seller protection. If you send a PayPal payment and do not add 3% to the total (including shipping) or put in an unconfirmed address, I will reject the payment.

Potential trades I'm currently looking for (for any of the stuff I'm selling, but you must ask BEFORE bidding) are specific parts for a late 1940 Springfield Garand (S/N around 80,000) or specific parts for a Winchester WIN-13 from 4/1945.

Thanks for looking!
