DoubleStar is located in Winchester, Kentucky and started out as an aftermarket parts supplier for the AR market, but it has since moved into the military, law enforcement and consumer arms space.

The DoubleStar Star10-BX is a .260 Remington direct gas impingement semi-automatic AR style rifle.

The gun has a 22” long stainless steel, free-floating, heavy barrel with a 1:8” RH twist that’s fronted by a Bullseye muzzle brake. Overall length is 45.5”!

The charging handle, upper receiver and lower receiver are all made of anodized aviation industry grade 7075-T6 aluminum.

With the flat-top upper receiver is a brass deflector that reduces the fling distance of ejected casings and an ambidextrous BCMGUNFIGHTER medium profile Mod 4 latch charging handle by Bravo Company that’s designed for snag-free operation.

The Star10-BX handguard is a Samson Evolution 15 that is, you guessed it, 15” long. It’s also 1.8” across and weighs 13.4 ounces. It’s not an M-LOK type, but it does have accessory rail attachments and is optimized for low-profile gas blocks, which is exactly what the Star10-BX has. This DoubleStar comes without sights, but is obviously set up to attach them.

At back of the Star10-BX is a very solid, heavy duty, triangular, seven-position ACE Hammer skeleton buttstock that’s machined of aluminum.

The lower receiver has an integrated trigger guard that is that has been drilled to minimize weight. The operator fires using a CMC flat trigger that has a 3.5 pound pull.

The pistol grip is wrapped in a contoured Hogue grip that has three finger recesses and a gentle palm swell for optimal hold and comfort.

The gun has an enhanced magwell for smooth magazine changes.

The Star10-BX comes standard with a 20 round magazine.
