The LWRCI Rapid Engagement Precision Rifle (REPR) Mark II is a 7.62x51 mm NATO chambered gun available in 12.7", 16.1" and 20" barrels. The trio have effective firing ranges of 1,320, 2,640 and 3,960 feet respectively. The two shorter barrels are heavy-profile cold hammer forged. The longer 20” one is LWRCI match-grade carbon fiber barrel. All three have a black nitride finish and a 1 to 10” RH twist. Their respective guns weigh 8.5, 9.0 and 10.4 pounds and measure overall 30.8" to 33.6", 34.8" to 37.6" and 40.5 to 41.5”.

This new for 2017 rifle is capable of and built for high-performance Sub-MOA accuracy. The REPR Mark II has an LWRCI Monoforge upper receiver and an integrated full-length Picatinny accessory rail. Atop it are LWRCI Skirmish Back Up Iron Sights (BUIS). Like so many other LWRCI gun components, the sights are built in-house as part of LWCRI’s vertical integration. They are push-button actuated and lock in place whether up or down. They are relatively snag free as they fold down to ½” heights and have curved edges all around.

The BUIS sights are made of anodized 7075 aluminum and Nicorr-coated 4140 steel, keeping their weight down to about 5 ounces. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and has two aperture settings for 25 to 300 yards and 300 to 500 yards.

The Mark II has an LWRCI Tunable Gas Block and a short-stroke gas piston system.

The 20” barrel Mark II is fronted by LWRCI’s new Ultra Static Muzzle Brake, which has four horizontal chambers and trio of top compensator ports that cooperate to reduce felt-recoil and muzzle jump to very low levels. It fastens to the barrel via a 5/8”x24 TPI thread. The shorter barrels also have a muzzle brake, but a different one.

The 12.7” and 16.1” barreled versions have an eight-position polymer Magpul UBR Stock. It incorporates front and rear QD sling points, an angled-toe rubber buttpad and an internal storage compartment.

Bringing up the rear of the 20” barrel gun is a lightweight trapezoidal Magpul PRS Gen3 Adjustable Stock. This impressive component is adjustable up to 2.0” in length. This buttstock has aluminum knobs for easy cheek position and length of pull adjustments. It also has a pair of M-LOK slots along the bottom to attach Picatinny rails, rear monopods, etc. It features multiple sling attachment points and is backed with a thick anti-slip rubber butt pad that can be raised for height and angled for maximum comfort.

As with many other LWRCI guns, the REPR Mark II is fully ambidextrous. So the LWRCI charging handle, magazine release, bolt catch and release and the safety/fire selector are all ambidextrous.

The Mark II also features the Geissele Super Semi-Automatic Enhanced (SSA-E) two-stage trigger. This little piece of machinery is non-adjustable, but it’s very highly rated and has a 2.9 to 3.8 pound pull weight. This breaks down further into a first stage pull weight of 2.0 to 2.5 pounds followed by a very light and crisp second stage weight of 0.9 to 1.3 pounds.

The Geissele trigger is housed within a double-bulge LWRCI Advanced Trigger Guard. It’s deliberately expansive to permit gloved operation.

The pistol grip is a 1.2” thick polymer Magpul MOE+ grip. It has a beavertail backstrap and rubber overmolding for improved comfort and handling. It has front and back horizontal serrations, light texturing along the sides. It’s also hollow permitting storage through its bottom cap. Note: since early 2020, the gun has shipped with LWRCI’s own Combat Grip Pistol Grip instead of the Magpul MOE+.
