The mighty Remington Model 7600 pump-action spanned 6mm Rem., 243 Win., 270 Win., 30-06, 30-06 Accelerator, 308 Win., and 308 Accelerator. All calibers were 4+1 guns with four in the quick release detachable box magazine and one more in the chamber.

These pump actions had 22” free-floated barrels. The stock had a 13 3/8” length of pull with a gentle slope that went from the 1 11/16” drop at comb down to 2 1/8” drop at heel. Overall length was 42” and weight was 7.5 pounds.

The receiver had an elegant curve across the top that integrated smoothly with the half pistol grip stock. In front, the polished blued barrel was topped by a standard blade ramp front sight and a sliding removable ramp rear sight. Both were removable.

Remington 7600s featured American walnut forends and stocks coupled with blued machined steel receiver, barrel and other key metal components. Remington did a great job fine line checkering the forend and beautifully curved grip.

Naturally, Remingtons varied across time with many variants such as the black synthetic stocked versions and the 18.5” barrel 7600 carbines.
