The all new for 2019 inexpensive single action Ruger Wrangler .22 LR 6 round revolver would look quite at home out West. It comes in three color finishes for the barrel and frame: all black, burnt bronze and silver. Each features black diagonally crosshatched grip panels while the other components like the cylinder, trigger and hammer are all in their more native gunmetal, aluminum, etc.

The Wrangler’s barrel is just over 4” long, trigger pressure is 4.5 pounds, and it’s made of Cerakote protected aluminum alloy. The cylinder opens easily to the right and free spins clockwise and counterclockwise making loading and unloading fast and easy. This gun punches rounds out to 100 yards with good accuracy in the hands of a skilled shooter.

The Ruger Wrangler features a single blade front sight and an integral square notched rear sight, but in order to keep the price so affordable, neither is adjustable. The cylinder swings open easily and spins in both directions making reload possible in seconds. This revolver also has a transfer bar safety so you can carry it around fully loaded.

Ruger Wranglers are chambered for affordable.22 LR ammunition. Dimensions: the barrel length is 4.62”; overall length is 10.25” and the weight is 30 ounces (1.825 pounds).

It’s really nice that the Ruger Wrangler .22 LR revolver evokes the much more expensive Ruger Single Six. But the strong similarities beg the question of why is the Ruger Single Six more expensive? Well, among other things, the Single Six has a higher quality trigger that fires at 2.5 pounds of pressure, it’s made of a more expensive aluminum alloy and components such as the cylinder are stronger. The Single Six is also blued instead of Cerakoted. Bluing is a more time consuming and thus more expensive process, hence the additional cost.

While the revolver cylinders are not interchangeable between the Single Six and Ruger Wrangler, the attractive pistol grips are. Like all other Rugers, this gun is Made in USA.
