Carbondale. PA – June 26, 2020 – As active members of the firearms community, GunBroker.com has partnered with Camp Freedom to support outreach efforts that provide outdoor opportunities to disabled heroes and their families.

GunBroker.com acknowledges the importance of Camp Freedom’s compassionate work by conducting a series of live auctions on the platform. This year, GunBroker.com promoted a 3-day all-inclusive unlimited whitetail deer hunt at the facility. The hunt included pickup at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, lodging, meals, and the tax-deductible donation for the outing enjoys. The value is estimated upwards of $25,000. Last year, GunBroker.com was pleased to facilitate seven all-inclusive packages to deer hunting enthusiasts while supporting a good cause.

Firearm auctions at GunBroker.com that support Camp Freedom also include a Jack Keister Custom #2 of 10, Camp Freedom Custom Rifle in 300 PRC. Sporting a 24-inch Lilja precision barrel, Hawk Hill custom micro-break, and Pearce Engineering action, the rifle is topped off with a Swarovski scope. At a total value of $15,000, the proceeds collected by GunBroker.com go directly to Camp Freedom. GunBroker.com has worked diligently to auction 15 items that provide the firearms community with excellent value and support the charitable work at Camp Freedom.

Both the leadership team at CampFreedom and GunBroker.com understand that disabled Veterans, First Responders, their families, as well as Gold Star families, may need a place to heal and engage with like-minded Americans. The organization has established a 1,800-acre facility in Northeast Pennsylvania for the purposes of supporting these heroes with outdoor adventures at no cost to them.

It’s essential to point out that we live in a country of people who are servant leaders doing good and performing wide-reaching heroic acts. Camp Freedom chose to work with this often underserved group of American Heroes to honor those who risked everything to secure our freedom and way of life. The efforts of Camp Freedom and GunBroker.com are but modest ways of giving back by comparison.

Last year, the Healing Heroes with Outdoor Adventures program proudly served disabled Americans including 409 Veterans, 82 First Responders, 5 Gold Star Families, and 219 of their loved ones. To date, the outreach program has connected with people from 17 states and continues to grow.

The financial support garnered from everyday people who give generously and participate in GunBroker.com auctions cannot be understated. The funds brought in on GunBroker.com’s industry-leading firearms platform are put to valuable use. In May, charitable donations went directly to Camp Freedom adding a necessary wheelchair lift to improve access and quality of life experiences for our disabled heroes.
