Front sight adjustment tool. Designed to accurately adjust the front sight on the Mosin-Nagant M44 carbines. Manufactured at the 'Caliber' plant in Moscow in 1951. The plant specialized on production of the special accurate tools to repair the small arms.

Made of the blued steel. It is not a hand-made piece of iron with two screws or a cheap Chinese replica made of aluminum but an original professional tool that was used at the military workshops to sight the carbines. This clever U-shaped device fits under the barrel of the carbine and cradles the sights. Has a fine thread screws for a precision zero that is long enough to push the sight all the way off of the dovetail. The screws have an index line. The ends of the T-handles fit into the elevation post and provides plenty of leverage to easily move even a stubborn post. Speeds up the whole process of sighting in your carbine. An essential tool to make fine adjustments to the front sight of your Mosin-Nagant M44 carbines. A rare item so do not miss it!

Please note. This parcticulare sight tool is designed for Soviet M44 with a later style front sight that have a wider configuration sight base with a longer dovetail and a wider single piece milled globe. The tool could also be used on Polish, Hungarian or Chinese M44 carbines that have the same later style front sight. Please refer to the last photo for more details.
