Exclusive “Statue of Liberty” GLOCK G22 2012 SHOT Show Auction Handgun becomes available in 2018

This extraordinary GLOCK G22, hand-engraved in Austria in commemoration of GLOCK’s 25th Anniversary in the U.S. and selected from the personal collection of Gaston Glock as the 2012 SHOT Show auction handgun, is being made available from the original Shot Show buyer.

This very special GLOCK, known within Glock collector circles as the “GLOCK Statue of Liberty Gun,” features an intricate, hand-engraved tribute to the Statue of Liberty. This theme was selected to recognize that GLOCK’s 25th Anniversary coincided with the 125th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. Since its creation, the “GLOCK Statue of Liberty Gun” had been part of the personal collection of GLOCK Founder, Mr. Gaston Glock. However, in 2012 the decision was made to make this one-of-a-kind G22 available to the dedicated community of GLOCK collectors and enthusiasts. Now, after six years, it is being made available again.

There comes a time in every collector’s life when he needs to part company with some of his collection - even his most prized examples like this Statue of Liberty Glock. Owning this Glock has provided special opportunities and recognition that meant a lot to me. I hope the new owner will enjoy it and cherish it as much as I have.

The .40 caliber G22 was introduced at the 1990 SHOT Show to close the gap between the .45 and the internationally proven 9 x 19 mm service calibers.

“Often times, the misconception is that GLOCK’s limited edition pistols, such as the ‘Statue of Liberty Gun,' are hidden away in company vaults,” stated GLOCK Vice President, Gary Fletcher, at the time of the SHOT Show auction in 2012. “With the company celebrating 25 years in the United States, Mr. Glock wanted to give those who helped the company achieve that milestone of success an opportunity to own this one-of-a-kind piece.”

Rounding out an impressive package of extras, I am including a one-of-a-kind item that was part of the original 2012 SHOT Show auction - the original 11” x 15” blueprint drawing of the original GLOCK 17, signed by the GLOCK, Inc. president. Also included is a Letter of Authenticity attesting that the Statue of Liberty is a one-of-a-kind Glock and no others like it have been made or would be made by the company.

The Statue of Liberty Glock is know throughout the world!
The winning bidder will also receive the German magazine, "Caliber," April 2012 edition, purchased in Germany, that contains an in-depth article depicting the Statue of Liberty Glock.

This ONE-OF-A-KIND Statue of Liberty Gun is new in box, as pristine and unfired as when it was made.

This Statue of Liberty Glock is for the most discerning collector who recognizes that this masterpiece is arguably

"the most revered Glock that has every been made!"
