If you previously bought a gun from me, take 5% off the final price. If you bought more than one gun, take 10% off. Otherwise tell me a story. Collecting is a relationship business.

This is a .22LR Walther Mod 1, of pre-WWII Zella-Mehlis manufacture, serial number 2001, fitted with a steel 22mm tube, windage and elevation adjustable 2½x17.5 Hensoldt Wetzlar Diapi-D scope, serial number 182705, in hand-detachable clamp-on mounts, featuring a German no. 1 three-piece reticle. These scopes were military rated by the Hensoldt group. The glass is superb, with sharp and crystal clear coated optics, with excellent light gathering. The mounts remain in excellent condition, but regrettably, the mounting screws are in need of replacement.

Walther Model 1 and its successor Model 2 are essentially the same rifle. Their ingenious actions are identical, manually operated with the bolt handle down, and self-loading with the bolt handle up. Model 2 tends to have a longer barrel and a bigger stock, as well as a slide type rear sight, which is not present on the presumably bespoke Model 2 that I am offering in another auction. Both models were considered and priced as a deluxe firearm, and many were custom configured. Magazines and spare parts are readily available from Earl’s Repair Service, a factory Walther representative, 2414 Pulaski-Giles Turnpike, Pearisburg, VA. 24134, phone 540-921-0184.

This Model 1 rifle is in excellent original condition. It features a 20½" barrel with a capped threaded muzzle, a tang safety, a three-blade rear sight, a trigger, and a sporter stock with a checkered forearm. The original factory steel finish rates better than 95%. The selectable self-loading or manually operated action operates correctly in cycling and lockup. The barrel is in excellent condition, with mirror grooves, sharp lands, and an immaculate crown. An importer mark is discreetly applied on the bottom of the barrel. The rifle is all matching and original. I am starting this no reserve auction at $1,895.00. High resolution photos can be seen here. Please download and study them before bidding. Your bid implies your commitment to comply with the Additional Terms of Sale linked above, along with all applicable laws in our jurisdictions.

My name is Michael Zeleny. I have been researching and collecting the SIG P210 pistol for the past 25 years. For more information on these remarkable handguns, please see my articles. You can find my blog postings related to guns at the following links: Korth, SIG P210, Manurhin MR73. I maintain the following Facebook pages: Korth Waffen, SIG P210, Korriphila, and Manurhin MR73.

A word about pricing. I am offering my best toys for sale in order to buy toys and stuff for my infant son. As with all my other prized but dispensable goods, I price them in accordance with fair market rates comporting with prices achieved by similar goods in national auctions, which is also the lowest point whereupon I would rather have the money than the gun. I am open to counteroffers supported by factual evidence and rational arguments. All lowball offers rooted in wishful thinking and covetous sentiment will be politely declined.
All my auction listings are meant to disclose all relevant information, inclusive of any defects or damage, to the best of my knowledge. I assume full responsibility for any oversight in description or depiction.

I prefer payment via direct bank deposit, bank wire transfer, or U.S. Postal Money Orders. All payment instruments must await clearance by my bank. Credit card payments are available from my dealer, provided that the buyer pays the 3% merchant processing fee. The winning bidder should contact me with a digital copy of the receiving Federal firearms licensee’s credentials for payment instructions. Payment must be received within 7 days from auction closing. I will accommodate layaways on a 25% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due within 60 days.

All modern firearms sales will be transacted by my 01 FFL dealer as consignments on my behalf, out of his inventory, at no extra charge. The actual shipping costs are payable to my dealer in a separate transaction. All responsibility for items lost or damaged in shipment shall lie with the insurance carrier. We prefer to ship fully insured; if the buyer requests uninsured shipment, our responsibility will begin and end at proving that the article has been submitted to the shipper.

If identified in the listing as a Curio & Relic, my firearms will ship to any C&R licensee where allowed by local laws; otherwise it will ship to any 01 FFL holder in the continental U.S. I cannot accommodate private transfers of modern firearms, unless expressly stated otherwise.

I grant a three day inspection period from the time the buyer’s FFL agent receives the item, provided that no Form 4473 transfer has taken place. Inspection may include external examination, manual operation of the action with dummy ammunition, bore and chamber measurement, and headspace check. It may not involve cycling or firing live ammunition or disassembly of the firearm, including but not limited to turning any screws or removing any pins. All returns must be in the same condition the item was received. In the event of a return, the buyer shall be responsible for all shipping fees and Gunbroker charges unless the item description was mistaken. All applicable laws and GunBroker.com regulations shall be observed.

Your bid implies our binding agreement to abide by the foregoing terms. Until my reserve has been met, or a bid has been placed on a no-reserve auction lot, my auction lots shall be available for purchase in several other venues, and may be withdrawn herefrom without notice. Most of my guns sell elsewhere. If you want to win this lot, bid early and often.
