Winchester Commemoratives volume II
by Tom Trolard (not Trollard)
FORMAT 9.5" x 12" and 181 pages

New price 89.95 USD. Check out the photos of some of the more rare items.
Condition: Slightly used.
Also check as I usually have a copy of Volume I for sale too.

Winchester Commemoratives volume II is the second of two volumes. The first started at the onset of Winchesters endeavor to create a series of Model 94 lever guns in 1964 commemorating various figures and events. Production continued with last of all Winchesters manufactured in the US was when the New Haven Winchester plant closed Mar 31, 2006 . Newer model 94s are once again produced but not in the US any longer and fairly expensive while you can own a true piece of history with a commemorative as opposed to a non US made newer model 94 that costs as much in many cases and is not a commemorative.

Also special interest guns are covered in volume II as they were in Volume I. Special interest guns may or may not be serialized meaning some had normal numeric serial numbers without a prefix or suffix such as the Northfield Bank Raid which of course deals with the famous bank robbery and the James Gang.

Details for each item includes: the number manufactured; type of plating on the receiver; number of rifles produced; caliber; barrel length; number of cartridges; and a narrative of who or what is being commemorated. For each there is a two or more page summary about the dedication. Volume I is no longer in publication so one would best grab it if you see one and fair warning as they can be 3-4 times the price of volume II which is more readily available. This can only mean that Vol II will be a good investment as well.
Condition: NEW

Also CHECK OUT the "UNIQUE" GUN RACKS, CUSTOMIZED to your number gun slots desired. If you've ever had one of those horizontal racks the issue is that the guns barrels don't hang level with some pointing up and some downward. This style rack solves the problem. Available in several styles. Order it the way you want it, different decorative motifs, with conchos, cable lock and other options. These are a UNIQUE DESIGN "Especially Nice" for commemoratives that display the barrel markings and sights facing outward, triggers inwards and both sides visible. Nice for some scoped guns as well. Also see several Winchester commemorative listings TOO such as the John Wayne and others posted time to time as I'm always changing things in my collection.
