New Service revolvers, designated as Pistol, Colt, .455-inch 5.5-inch barrel Mk. I, chambered for the .455 Webley cartridge were acquired for issue as "substitute standard" by the British War Department during World War I.[10] British Empire Colt New Service Revolvers were stamped "NEW SERVICE .455 ELEY" on the barrel,[11] to differentiate them from the .45 Colt versions used by the US (and Canada). The Colt New Service was a popular revolver with British officers and many of them had privately purchased their own Colt New Service revolvers in the years prior to World War I as an alternative to the standard-issue Webley Revolver. British Empire and Canadian forces received 60,000 Colt New Service revolvers during World War I and they continued to see official service until the end of World War II. NOTE: This has a Smooth Bore Barrel.

We charge 3% for all card transactions (Debit, credit, American Express, Discover, etc)WE ARE ONLY PROCESSING CARD PAYMENTS BY PHONE AT THIS TIME, as using Gunbroker Checkout would result in us passing an additional 2 - 3% on to the customer due to the gateway company charges (not Gunbroker). 99% of our sales are consignment sales for customers. We allow our customers to set the prices on their own merchandise. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE PRICES, BE A BIG BOY AND MOVE ALONG. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME WITH EMAILS ABOUT WHERE YOU THINK THE MARKET IS. WE NEED HARD COPIES OF YOUR RECEIVING FFL'S LICENSE. Filling in the numbers on Gunbroker checkout is not enough. I reiterate, we need hard copies, so please get in touch with your receiving FFL and have them send the info to you or to us at [email protected] If you do email us with pointless bitching, we will respond with the appropriate amount of vigor, spit and vinegar, so consider yourself forewarned. Otherwise, we treat ALL of our customer as we would like to be treated and stand by our sales 100%. Bid with confidence and contact us with any concerns. Thank you, Blackhawk Shooting Sports
