The Armscor/Rock Island Armory (RIA Imports) VRPA40 is a 5+1 capacity 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. The matte Marine Black anodized gun is largely 7075-T6 aluminum on a polymer stock. This gun uses a familiar formula of a 3” chamber that handles 2 3/4" and 3” shells coupled to a 20” contoured barrel. The gun’s weight is 6.90 pounds empty and 8.06 pounds loaded. Overall height is 4.72” and overall width is 1.57”. Overall length is 41.3”.

A medium Picatinny rail crests the receiver. The front sight is fiber optic, and the rear sight is adjustable. In front, you can attach any of the included Mobil choke tubes (IC, Full and Mod). The stock and receiver/handguard combo is compact with plenty of scalloped diagonal recesses and lightening ports that both save weight and add to the aesthetics. The pistol grip has nice traditional texturing while the forend has ribbed texturing optimized for maintaining grip during pump-action movement.

The VRPA40 includes an anti-slip grooved thick black buttpad. It also has the diagonal lightening cuts in a way that’s nicely cohesive to the overall design aesthetic.

The guns come with a pair of 5-round magazines, but you can also get aftermarket 9-round that will mate to the VRPA40 and the other VR-series shotguns from RIA.
