The SLR-107R is a modernized AK-47 semi-automatic rifle assembled in Las Vegas that couples American-made components to ones made by Arsenal JSC at its famous Circle 10 factory in Kazanlak, Bulgaria. This factory is noteworthy for, among other reasons, having produced artillery, various small arms and more since 1878!

The SLR-107R uses 7.62x39 mm caliber ammunition. It has a 1 mm thick stamped receiver, scope rail, integrated gas piston and a 9.5” long Warsaw Pact length buttstock. The mil-spec polymer buttstock and several other key components are made in the USA. The buttstock includes a compartment for the included cleaning kit, a rubber butt pad and a sling mount.

The AK-47 gets its name from Automatic Kalashnikov 1947, the year the iconic gun was green-lighted for production. The gun is famous world over and was designed for very simple mass production. This new version is the modernized one.

On top is a standard front sight block and an 800 meter (875 yard) rear sight. The gun’s polymer furniture (handguard, grip and buttstock) comes in four colors: black, desert sand, plum and olive drab green. The lower half of the polymer handguard hides a stainless steel heat shield.

Overall length is 36.89”. The 16.34” long barrel is cold hammer forged, hard chrome lined and fronted by 14x1mm threaded muzzle. It has four grooves and an unusual 1 to 9.44” twist rate. It has a bayonet lug.

It has an anti-slap FIME two-stage J-shape mil-spec trigger. It requires 6 pounds of pull pressure and has a black oxide coating for durability and corrosion resistance. This AK-47 also includes a side rail for accessories/optics.

The gun comes standard with a 5-round ribbed magazine. The SLR-107R weighs 7.3 pounds without its magazine.
