Bergara’s Premier LRP 2.0 is a high-tech long-range precision hunting rifle whose standout features is its XLR Element 3.0 stock. Caliber choices include 6.5 Creedmore (1:8” twist ratio), 6.5 PRC (1:8”), .300 Winchester Magnum (1:10”) and .300 PRC (1:9”). The gun has a sub-MOA guarantee using factory match-grade ammo. The gun uses detachable box magazines.

The 6.5 Creedmore has a 24” long barrel. Overall length is 43.5”, and it weighs 9.6 pounds. The 6.5 PRC has a 26” long barrel. Overall length is 45.5”, and it weighs 9.8 pounds. The last two are also built around 24” barrels, but their overall length is 46”, but each weigh 9.8 pounds just like the 6.5 PRC. The 6.5 PRC is a 7+1 capacity gun while the other three use 5-round magazines and are thus 5+1 capacity.

The LRP 2.0 slots into Bergara’s Premier Series. The lineup fits in between Bergara’s already impressive stock rifles and its supreme Custom Series. Each caliber barrel is stainless-steel barrel with a Graphite Black Cerakote and has a #6 taper barrel. Moreover, each has a 5/8-24” TPI thread and thread protector at the muzzle.

The one-piece 416 stainless-steel Bergara Premier action has two-lugs for speedy, secure lockups and a sliding plate extractor, a separate floating bolt head. The oversize conical bolt knob provides an extra bit of grasp compared to spherical ones and is Cerakoted for durability. Nonetheless it’s the bolt body’s spiral fluting that is most eye-catching. Additionally, the bolt stop and quarter-turn to remove bolt shroud are Nitrided for self-lubrication and durability. It also has a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor. The bolt gas shield remains fixed in place instead of rotating with the bolt. This keeps gases from flaring toward the shooter’s face when there’s an ammo failure.

The gun features a TriggerTech Frictionless Release Technology trigger that’s externally adjustable. There is a nice safety at back. What’s clever is it is integrated with the manual safety lever located by the bolt rear on the receiver’s right side. Pull back, and it’s in “safe” position. Push forward to ready in the “fire” position. But you can still maneuver the bolt in either position or easily unload the gun in safe position.

The gun’s piece de resistance is its all-aluminum XLR Element 3.0 chassis. It seems to have most anything you might reasonably want in this price point. These have fantastic strength though they only weigh about 22 ounces! The M-LOK slots along the front flanks and the bottom permit you to attach many accessories. In back, the cheek piece and length-of-pull are fully adjustable. Additionally, the recoil pad can independently be adjusted for height. The pistol grip is black, polymer, textured and contoured with three finger recesses. The trigger guard is a large rectangle with cut corners. It’s incredibly flexible.
