The Browning Buck Mark Field Target and Buck Mark Field Target Suppressor Ready are fraternal twins. Both are blowback operated 10+1 capacity .22 LR semi-automatic rimfire pistols. They are matte black for the alloy frame and heavy round bull steel barrel. In fact, they are matte black for most everything else except the laminated Cocobolo grips and gold-plated alloy trigger. Both are crested by a full length (14-slot!) MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny scope base rail atop their receiver and barrel. And both belong to Browning’s expansive Buck Mark series of single-stack 22s.

The standard gun is the Buck Mark Field Target, featuring a 5.5” length barrel, 9.5” overall length and imposing 8.25” sight radius! The heavy bull barrel ups weight to 38 ounces, which is a bit more than others of this series.

The Buck Mark Field Target Suppressor Ready is the same as its twin except, no surprise, it has a threaded barrel. The barrel length is thus a tad longer at 5 7/8”. The gun is longer overall, but here too it’s just a bit. Get the calipers out, and they’ll reach 10”.

Though the grips are laminate, they are nicely done and visually simulate about Grade III/IV grain wood.

The grip position is high and nicely done with a deep undercut behind the classically styled racetrack oval trigger guard. The grip holds a 10-round magazine.

These two guns have excellent Pro-Target sights. The front sight ramps up from the muzzle. In back is a fully adjustable white outline Pro-Target sight you can adjust for windage and elevation!
