The Charter Arms .45 ACP Pitbull is a powerful and capable lineup of 5-shot revolvers built around a 2.5” long barrel and large frame. The Pitbull has only one finish option: black nitride, which coats the barrel, cylinder and frame. Finishing out the looks is a full size black rubber grip with three finger grooves. These guns weigh 22 ounces.

The black nitride is fetching. It adds durability and protection to all the exterior surfaces, the cylinder interiors, etc. Speaking of the cylinders, Charter Arms also has a quick ejection process that makes dumping all the spent casings a cinch.

The Pitbull uses a standard hammer. Sighting is done via a long ramp fixed front sight and a fixed rear sight. The cylinder is partially fluted with indents that look like they were made by bullets facing backward. The trigger is curved and sits in a snag-free egg-shaped trigger guard.

Finally, the grip is rubber with a deep undercut, three finger recesses and little mounds on either side, all of which combine for a comfortable, good grip.
