The Citadel M1911 Flag Pistol import will please anyone who likes full size 1911s and the American flag! You can get it in three color schemes and two calibers: .45 ACP and 9 mm. The three color schemes all use the American flag design, but the flag is rendered in three different ways. The original is, naturally, Red, White and Blue. Then there is the Bazooka Green (which replaces red, white and blue with blue, OD green and blue (again). Finally, the Grayscale uses pale gray for the white stripes and stars and blue for everything else.

The schemes use a weathered and battle worn look that’s absolutely compelling, and they cover the entirety of the slide and frame including the trigger guard. Everything else such as the sights, trigger, grips, fasteners, safeties, etc., retains its native matte black. No matter your preference, all three look great. And the finishes are Cerakoted, so they will remain in great shape through extended usage.

As far as the mechanics go, this is a classic M1911, or rather an M1911-A1, so it has the lowered and beveled ejection port, etc. the .45 weighs 36.8 ounces and has a single-stack 8-round magazine. The 9 mm weighs 38.8 and has a single-stack 10-round magazine. In either case, the barrel is 5” long and overall length is 8.87”.

The sights are low profile types dovetailed into the top. There’s a bounty of much appreciated touches, such as the beveled magazine well, the extended beavertail grip safety, loop hammer and full-length guide rod. The thumb safety is ambidextrous. The skeletonized trigger is triple ported with two racetrack ovals flanking a circular bore. The grip has front and rear diagonal grip serrations.

The grips are classic double-diamond in style. They’re matte black and are made of rugged, durable and lightweight G10 polymer. The guns come standard with two single-stack magazines and an ammo can that matches the gun’s color scheme.
