The EAA MKA 1923 is a 5 round 12 gauge semi-automatic bullpup shotgun imported by European American Armory of Florida and made by Husan Arms in Turkey. First impressions are of an all-black firearm that’s designed to deliver good firepower in a very tight, tactical environment. The barrel is 20” long and overall length is barely more than that, coming out to 29.5”. Height is 8.25” and weight is 9.7 pounds unloaded.

Atop the metal upper receiver is a medium length Picatinny rail and two removable sights. The rear sight is fully adjustable for height and for windage.

In contrast to the upper, the stock is reinforced nylon polymer. A few inches behind and below the muzzle resides a small Picatinny rail. It's parallel to the barrel, but the short handgrip that follows slopes down diagonally toward the trigger guard and trigger. This handgrip has deep, ovoid serrations and a small hand stop between the handgrip and the short Picatinny.

The glove-friendly hand grip assembly extends the leading line of the trigger guard down to the same level as the bottom of the pistol grip then turns roughly 135 degrees to meet it. The pistol grip itself is nicely thought out with three distinct finger recesses and a medium contour backstrap.

The manual safety lever and charging handle are both on the left while ejection is on the right making the EAA MKA 1923 optimized for right-handed shooters.

Continuing further back is the short lever magazine release, magwell and sizeable buttstock with a thick rubber pad.
