About Kel-Tec PF-9
Based on Kel-Tec’s earlier P-11 and P-3AT models, the Kel-Tec PF-9 is a 9mm, recoil operated, double-action semi-automatic pistol. The pistol was first released in the fall of 2006.It was designed by Kel-Tec founder, George Kellgren, as a concealed-carry weapon for civilians and as a backup weapon for law enforcement officials. The manufacturer asserts that the Kel-Tec PF-9 is the flattest and lightest 9mm pistol ever mass-produced. The pistol contains parts originally designed for the P-11 and P-3AT models, including the slightly modified barrel, trigger, ejector and front sight from the P-11, and the extractor and various springs from the P-3AT. The grip is made from DuPont ST-8018 polymer and is available in numerous colors, while the slide is available in blue, parkerized, ceramic and hard-chromed finishes.

The Kel-Tec PF-9 weighs 12.7 ounces and measures 5.58 inches long, 0.88 inches wide, and 4.3 inches tall. The barrel is 3.1 inches long. The Kel-Tec PF9 is made with the help of extensive computer numerical control (CNC) techniques – automated machines programmed to build each component with exact specifications. The Kel-Tec PF-9 is chambered with 9x19mm cartridges and has a short-recoil action system. The feed system supports a 7-round detachable box magazine.
