LWRC International (aka LWRCI) was founded in 1999 as Land Warfare Resources Corporation. It’s headquartered in Cambridge, Maryland. LWRC focuses on high-performance firearms, and so the LWRCI IC DI Pistol SBA3 Tactical Brace semi-automatic is no exception.

IC DI stands for Individual Carbine Direct Impingement pistol. LWRCI’s Individual Carbine lineup is based on its submission for the U.S. Army Individual Carbine program. Direct impingement makes this gun lighter than a piston system would be. The gun is chambered for 5.56 NATO rounds and comes with a Magpul 10 or 30 round magazine.

The upper receiver is what LWRCI calls Monoforged, so it’s a one piece free-float rail, making it feel more solid than its light-weight and thin, modular structure first glance appearance. And what a piece it is. It enshrouds the barrel, it’s modular, and it includes a free-float standard rail for accessories.

The cold hammer forged heavy barrel is 10.5” long, has a 1 to 7” twist and is finished in Ni-Corr (black nitride). Fronting the muzzle is an LWRCI A2 Birdcage Flash Hider. Total length is 32” to 35.25” long and weight comes in at 6.6 pounds.

The LWRCI IC DI Pistol SBA3 Tactical Brace comes in five colors starting with standard black, but one can pay a bit extra for flat dark earth, olive drab green, patriot brown or tungsten gray.

The back features an American-made SBA3 tactical pistol stabilizing brace by SB Tactical of Bradenton, Florida. It has five position stops for lengths of 6.75” to 9.5”.

Modularity is a big sell in the LWRCI IC DI Pistol SBA3 Tactical Brace semi-automatic. The lower receiver is ambidextrous, which applies to the lower controls such as the mag release, bolt catch/release and selector. It also includes an ambidextrous charging handle.
