The 5+1 12-gauge Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Waterfowl shotgun is part of the Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag lineup. This lineup marks the world’s first 3.5” chambered pump shotgun. The 3.5” diameter Accu-Mag barrel allows shooters to fire 2.75”, 3” and 3.5” shells and can handle both steel and lead pellets! The 835 has a vent rib barrel over-bored to 10-gauge to reduce felt recoil and muzzle jump for faster follow up shots. Best of all, it also provides tighter and more uniform shot patterns.

Most 835 Ulti-Mag shotguns have a pale-yellow fiber optic sight in front and a highly rated Marble Arms bullseye steel sight in back. This pairing facilitates fast and accurate target acquisition. Height adjustments is via the included set of shims.

Like other Mossberg pump-action guns, the 835 Ulti-Mag features a quiet, top mounted red dot slide safety, dual extractors, twin action bars and an anti-jam elevator designed for slick movement.

The 835 capacity including one in the chamber is six 2.75”, six 3” shells or five 3.5” shells.

The 835 Ulti-Mag Waterfowl has a 28” barrel, 14” length of pull fixed polymer stock with a nicely curved pistol grip, a total 48.75” length and 7.75-pound weight. The Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades camouflage covers the barrel, pump action, receiver and stock while the magazine cap, ejection port and thick rubber recoil pad are matte black. The gun has dual combs and an Accu-Mag choke set.

O. F. Mossberg and Sons has been in business since 1919, the year after World War I ended, making the company over 100 years old. Don’t let the Swedish name fool you; they’re based in New Haven, Connecticut. Mossberg spent its early years making pistols, but during World War II, the company made components for .50 caliber Browning M2 machineguns, etc.
