The dual-vent system Mossberg 935 Magnum is a perennially popular family of three 4+1 12 gauge shotguns that are over-bored to 10 gauge, resulting in less recoil and better accuracy. The 3.5” diameter smoothbore barrel allows shooters to fire an impressive variety of 2.75”, 3” and 3.5” shells and can handle both steel and lead pellets!
The 935s come standard with a either a front fiber optic sight or an adjustable front and rear fiber optic combination that’s ideal to use when lighting isn’t. Also on top is a quiet, ambidextrous, red dot slide safety. The barrels are all over-bored vent rib types. Except where otherwise noted below, all share the same 14” length of pull, Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage scheme and have synthetic stocks. All feature a stock drop system for you to enjoy increase cheek contact and optimal sighting. They also have swivel sling mounts on the magazine cap and at back on the bottom of the stock.
Now, let’s quickly cover the differences between the five versions. The two 935 Magnum Turkey guns have 22” barrels, a 42” overall length, an X-Factor ported choke and weigh 7.5 pounds. But Model #82540 comes with a pistol grip and a 13.75” length of pull and leafy green and brown Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage for both barrel and stock while the Model #81046 has an adjustable fiber optic front sight while both barrel and stock are finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland camouflage.
The other three guns are all 935 Magnum Waterfowl shotguns. The last of these three is the 935 Magnum Waterfowl Pro-Series.
This waterfowl specific trio has a longer 28” barrel, 49” overall length, Accu-Mag choke tube set and weighs 7.75 pounds. The two standard 935 Magnum Waterfowl shotguns are exactly the same except Model #81000 has a matte blued barrel, frame, etc., while Model #81023 is draped in Mossy Oak Shadowgrass Blades camouflage.
The top end 935 Magnum Waterfowl Pro-Series shotgun is replete with special boron nitride finishes on internal parts and a stainless steel recoil spring to maintain peak utility rates in spite of constant usage. These finishes enhance durability and reduce wear and tear. The Pro-Series 935 Magnums are 100% visually identical to the last mentioned standard 935 Magnum Waterfowl except that it has “Pro-Series” engraved on to the gun.
Mossberg is based in New Haven, Connecticut, but the Mossberg 935 guns and all other Mossbergs are Made in USA at the company’s Eagle Pass, Texas manufacturing center.
