The Mossberg Maverick 88 – Security with Top Folding Stock is a 5+1 capacity 12-gauge pump-action shotgun. It’s designed for tactical security with a shorter barrel than others in this series. But most impressive is its innovative ATI Shotforce Top Folding Synthetic – Black stock. The name is largely self-explanatory. It’s ambidextrous and made of DuPont Extreme Reinforced Polymer. The all-black component looks like an artificial leg with an articulated foot. The stock folds above and ends up partially arced above the barrel and almost above the receiver but doesn’t impede sighting. The gun can be fired both with the stock fully extended or folded.

This nifty ATI product has a quick release button, a nicely textured pistol grip and is pre-drilled for a shotgun shell holder. It comes with a sling swivel stud and is Made in USA. The folding stock greatly facilitates transport and decreases bulk.

Other traits? The pump action features an 18.5” length barrel, 14.5” length of pull (LOPs), 39.5” overall length and weighs 6 pounds. One is all matte black with blued barrels and matte black synthetic forends and stocks.
