The Nighthawk Lady Hawk 2.0 is an M1911-type 10+1 semi-automatic pistol with a very distinctive feminine appearance that belies its high performance and luxury price range.

This elegant pistol has two models: 9 mm and .45 ACP. Either way, it measures 4.25” for the match-grade barrel, overall length is 7.85”, height is 5.4”, width is 1.40” width and the slide is .92” wide. Empty weight is 36.0 ounces. The barrel has a crowned muzzle that is flush with the muzzle bushing and recoil spring plug.

All this is fairly standard among comparable Nighthawk 1911s. What is different are the aesthetics. The Nighthawk Lady Hawk 2.0 has two finishes: DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) or there is also an optional upgrade to polished Stainless Steel. Next, a cocktail of colors distinguish this gun, but it’s hard to decide where to focus first.

The key here is rose gold-colored TiCN (titanium carbonitride). This fashionable hue coats almost all the control or detail surfaces: the muzzle bushing, muzzle crown, recoil spring plug, thumb safety, slide stop, hammer, barrel, trigger, magazine release, grip safety, flat mainspring housing and grip screws. The rose gold makes them stand out, while the TiCN confers a very tough protective layer.

Lady Hawk’s smooth grips can be had in zinc, iridescent abalone sea shells or obsidian stone. It’s the first time grips have ever been made of such materials.

The gun has a tritium front sight that’s paired with a Heinie Straight Eight SlantPro rear sight. Its distinctive ski jump profile ramps down to the front, making it snag-resistant and thus optimized for concealed carry. But most interestingly, this rear sight also has a single tritium point at the back. The front tritium and rear tritium points align to make a figure eight, hence the name. The sight radius between the dovetailed sights is 5.76”.

The curved trigger is triple ported. The hammer is skeletonized with a serrated thumb pad, the trigger guard has a nice, circular inner radius that’s echoed at the front of the trigger guard. Some of the same circular shapes are echoed on this gun’s other corners and edges. The slide front has no serrations, but the back makes up for that with a baker’s dozen of tightly packed diagonal serrations.

The front strap and mainspring housing have vertical stippling, and at the bottom of the grip, the magazine almost mounts perfectly flat.
