The Panzer Arms AR-12 and AR-12 Pro are semi-automatic 12-gauge shotguns with the features and feel of an AR-15. Let’s start with the standard AR-12. It’s a multi-purpose gun that has a 20” chrome coated 4140 steel barrel, is chambered for 3”, and has 2, 5 and 10-round magazine options making it thus either 2+1, 5+1 or 10+1 in capacity. These magazines fit both 2 ¾” and 3” shells.

The AR-12’s upper receiver and the impressive quad-rail M-LOK handguard are made of 7075 aluminum anodized for durability and corrosion resistance. The gun features a glass-reinforced polymer lower receiver. Overall length is 40.5” and empty magazine weight is 6.5 pounds.

The gun has folding and adjustable sights. The stock is also glass-reinforced polymer. The gun has a nicely designed ergonomic pistol grip, and the gas chamber is screwed over the barrel. In back is a minimalist L-shape buttstock with an adjustable cheek rest.

The AR-12 has a standard trigger, a manual safety on the left, and the magazine release is oval.

The AR-12 Pro replaces the standard gun’s polymer lower receiver with one that’s 7075 aluminum. It weighs 9.1 pounds and features an oversize triangular magazine release. The handguard is M-LOK and slightly different with more M-LOK slots than the standard AR-12’s handguard.
