The limited edition bolt-action 6.5 Creedmoor Remington 700 NRA American Hunter is, as the name implies, the result of a collaboration between Remington and the NRA.

This 4+1 gun is elegant, with a 20” long barrel docked into a polymer olive drab stock. The carbon steel barrel is finished with an elegant black Cerakote for durability and wear resistance. It’s fluted for strength and rigidity, is five groove threaded and has a 1 to 8” twist rate. Overall length is 39.375” and weight is 6.75 pounds.

Though this gun doesn’t come with sights or a scope, atop the gun are mounts for Leupold Mark 4 type scopes.

The 700 has the Premium Bell & Carlson composite stock. This stock has a bedding block of aluminum for excellent rigidity while maintaining low weight.

The trigger is a clean breaking adjustable nickel plated X Mark Pro that can be set with a 1/16” Allen wrench. Like many of its peers, this Remington 700 has a rounded trigger guard, a thick, padded Pachmayr Decelerator butt stock and swivel studs under the forend and under the butt stock.

While some guns come with a variety of configurations, the Remington 700 NRA American Hunter has a pantheon of one, which might just be all it needs. The magazine handles four rounds.
