The upscale Republic Forge Raider is a full-sized 8+1 5” barrel .45 ACP 1911 semi-automatic pistol. That the gun is a M1911 type is hardly surprising since Republic Forge connoisseurs know the firm custom makes nothing but hand-built and hand-tuned M1911s.

The standard Raider’s overall theme is pale blue and gray. Let’s get specific. The slide is blued as are various controls. The Cerakoted carbon steel frame is sniper gray.

The slide front has nine diagonal serrations per side and the back has another 13 per side. Sights are by Republic Forge. The front sight is a green fiber dot while at back is a single dot notch sight. The hammer’s negative space forms a five point star.

The adjustable trigger has three cuts for more precise breaks, and ahead of it is an accessory rail.

Republic Forge designed its own diamond pattern grips that climb almost all the way to the slide. Punctuating their centers is the prominent Republic Forge shield insignia. The front and back of the grip are grippy too. And there’s a grip safety at back that blends harmoniously with the elegant beavertail while the grip ends in a magwell.
