The FIME Group’s brutalist Rex Delta is an evolution of other similar striker fired semi-automatic pistols. This firearm shoots 9x19 mm ammo. The barrel is 4” long and sits inside a polymer frame. The package looks compact, but in fact, overall length is 7.0”, width is 1.18” and height is 5.0”.

The nitro carburized steel slide is smooth, but the flanks feature strategic faceting that make for easier holstering and provide a more modern design. The slide also features diagonal serrations at front and back, but these stand out from other guns because they have triangular leading edges. And crowning the slide are low profile steel sights. The one in front is a white dot sight while the rear notch sight is dotless black with horizontal serrations.

A short single slot Picatinny accessory rail sits below the muzzle. The trigger guard is angular and serrated rather than round and smooth, and it safeguards a short reset trigger.

Side grips are integrated rather than set on changeable grip pads. They look less grippy than other pads and feature the lower case “delta” name very prominently up the length of the grips. The back strap is curved for optimal comfort, and the beavertail is docked. But raised rectangles abound on the sides and at back.

This firearm is a 17+1 configuration, but a shorter 15 round magazine is also available. Both magazines are double-stack magazines with witness holes permitting easy count of how many rounds remain inside when the magazine is removed. Thoughtfully, the round count is marked by each hole. Empty weight is 19.6 ounces while with the magazine it tilts the scales at 22.2 ounces.
