Rock River Arms Entry Tactical LAR-15M is 5.56mm NATO chambered for 5.56mm NATO and .223 Caliber. It’s a 30+1 capacity semi-automatic AR-type built around a 16” chrome moly barrel. It weighs 7.5 pounds and measures 36” overall.

The Entry Tactical has two variants that differ only in the barrel. In other words, the standard barrel is not chrome-lined, while the other model has a chrome-lined barrel. Both models are matte black.

For either model, the upper receiver is a forged A4-type upper crested by a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny accessory rail. It has a port door without forward assist. The lower receiver is a forged RRA LAR-15M.

The front end has a traditional 5.35-ounce double-heatshield R-4 handguard. The 16” chrome moly barrel wears a birdcage A2 flash hider with a 1/2"–28 TPI thread and an A2 front sight.

Moving down, you get a flat trigger guard bridging the magwell to grip. Within is an RRA two-stage trigger. The gun has an ergonomically wonderful black Hogue rubber grip with three finger recesses and texturing for an assured grip. In rear is a black RRA Operator A2 fixed buttstock.

Moving elsewhere, the gun has an RRA Star Safety with a pattern of tactile serrations radiating in all directions from a central point, hence the name. The totality provides a 1 MOA accuracy at 100 yards, which is impressive for an “Entry” AR. The gun comes standard with a 30-round mag.

In back you get a collapsible RRA 6-Position Tactical CAR stock. It’s lever-actuated and includes an integral non-slip textured buttpad. For something tagged Entry, there’s plenty that’s great about it, not the least of which is its modularity and endless upgradability to make it anything but “Entry.”
