Thus with Koenig’s advice and preferences dialed into the design, the result is a pistol with superb feel and performance.

One of Koenig’s many influences is in the gun’s adjustable vertical straight trigger. This trigger is unique and the forward facing negative space arrow baked into the design is eye-catching and echoes the ten forward facing chevrons at aft and rear on both sides of the slide. But the straight trigger is functional too, giving a more precise trigger feel one often doesn’t get from a curved trigger.

The slide is made of stainless steel and top of the slide is black nitrided resulting in a pleasing two-tone. The frame itself is also black nitrided.

There’s a green fiber optic sight in front and a flat-head screwdriver adjustable square-notched sight at rear. Long grooves along the slide’s top as well as rear sight serrations help cut glare. This gun is called custom, but Ruger’s designers seem to have anticipated all the customization one might normally dream of making.
