The .380 Auto SCCY CPX-3 is a 10+1 compact conceal carry 2.96” stainless steel barrel semi-automatic. This double-action gun comes in matte black and many other colors.

Overall dimensions are apropos to the short barrel. The height is 4.9” and overall length is a trim 5.7”. Width is 1.26”. This makes the CPX-3 narrower than its fraternal twin, the SCCY CPX-4 because CPX-4 has an ambidextrous thumb safety at back.

Thanks in large part to the polymer frame that couples with these conceal carry dimensions, CPX-3’s unloaded weight is a only 15 ounces.

Aiming is across simple white three-dot sights. The front sight is ramped, non-adjustable and permanently fixed into place into the stainless steel slide. The rear sight is dovetailed in and Allen wrench adjustable side-to-side for windage but not elevation.

There is some simple, but nice styling going on as the front sight and the frame above the trigger all seem to taper to an invisible point ahead of the muzzle. The back of the slide has a nice quintet of deeply chiseled medium width grip serrations.

The barrel locks into place securely via the Roebuck Quad-Lock system in front and back.

Though this is a very affordable gun, it’s well thought out. The grip is nicely textured on both sides. The frontstrap has three finger recesses thanks to a magazine base extension that finishes the third recess. The trigger guard is wide and it enshrouds a vertically serrated trigger. In back is a deep undercut for ergonomic and handling bliss that provides proper grip control.

The gun can be had in many colors thanks to various CPX grip modules. Though called “grip modules”, in fact, they cover the entire frame including even the trigger guard. There are six colors available: black, purple, pink, FDE, SCCY Blue and, finally, Sniper Gray.

The gun comes with a pair of single-stack 10-round magazines. Push the magazine release, and the magazine will drop free! A nice safety feature is CPX-3’s standard child-resistant trigger guard lock. SCCY makes its guns in Daytona Beach, Florida, thus these guns are Made in USA.
