The .380 Auto SCCY CPX-3 is a 10+1 compact conceal carry 2.96” stainless steel barrel semi-automatic. For now, this double-action gun comes in only in matte black. The CPX-4 stands out from its CPX-3 fraternal twin by the addition of an ambidextrous thumb safety in back.

Overall dimensions are apropos to the short barrel. The height is 4.9” and overall length is a parsimonious 5.7”. Width is about 1.40”.

Thanks in large part to the polymer frame that couples with these conceal carry dimensions, CPX-4’s unloaded weight is a feathery 15 ounces, and thus less than a pound.

The front sight is non-adjustable and permanently fixed into place into the stainless steel slide. The rear sight is dovetailed in and adjustable side to side for windage but not elevation. Adjustments are easily done via an Allen wrench. They are simple white three-dot sights. The front one is ramped.

There is some simple, but nice styling going on as the front sight and the frame above the trigger all seem to taper to an invisible point ahead of the muzzle. The back of the slide has a nice quintet of deeply chiseled medium width grip serrations.

The barrel locks into place securely via the Roebuck Quad-Lock system in front and back.

This very affordable gun is well thought out. The grip is nicely textured on both sides. The frontstrap has three finger recesses thanks to a magazine base extension that finishes the third recess. The trigger guard is wide, and it enshrouds a vertically serrated trigger. In back is a deep undercut for ergonomic and handling bliss that provides proper grip control.

The gun comes with a pair of single-stack 10-round magazines. Push the magazine release, and the magazine will drop free! A nice safety feature is CPX-4’s standard child-resistant trigger guard lock. SCCY makes its guns in Daytona Beach, Florida, thus these guns are Made in USA.
