The SIG Sauer P320 X-VTAC is a full-size striker-fired 9mm Luger semi-automatic that comes standard with high-visibility VTAC day/night sights. The X-VTAC also enjoys a great looking Flat Dark Earth (FDE) on matte black color combo and three 17-round magazines.

This semi-auto’s fetching looks derive in part from its two-tone finish of an FDE finished stainless-steel slide and a matte black polymer grip module.

Let’s talk about the sights. VTAC is short for Viking Tactics. Their tactical sights stack fiber optic tube dots directly over tritium dots for tremendous daytime and nighttime effectiveness. There are four combinations: green fiber front and green fiber rear or green fiber front on a blackout serrated steel rear. Each set has a 6 Front, 8 Rear and 8 Front, 8 Rear size choice. There’s an impressive accuracy inducing 6.6” sight radius between front and rear sights. Note that VTAC also makes the same but with red fiber tubes for the front sight in lieu of the green ones. In back you still get either green tubes or blackout.

The P320 X-VTAC has a great looking XCarry Polymer Medium grip module with an integrated lateral beavertail and a three-slot Picatinny accessory rail under the muzzle. Its trigger is a XSeries Straight trigger. The trigger’s flat face creates a naturally lower finger position thus providing more refined control, 90-degree clean break and a smoother pull compared to similar curved triggers.

X-VTAC’s 4.7” long 6-groove 1:10” twist carbon steel barrel sits in a long stainless-steel slide that makes overall length 8.2”. It is 5.6” tall, 1.3” wide and weighs 29.5 ounces and ships new with three 17-round magazines.

The slide has forward-leaning front and back grip serrations, excellent serrated surfaces for all the levers and other key moving touchpoints and anti-slip texturizing around the grip.

A nice ergonomic touch is how the magazine release is reversible for either left-hand or right-hand use. And for more safety, P320s feature a Loaded Chamber Indicator (LCI), striker safety and a disconnect safety.

Integrated in the grip module is the combat trigger guard. It has horizontal serrations and gentle concave surface and a deep undercut at back.
