The beautiful and affordable Taurus C45 Thunderbolt 14+1 capacity pump-action rifle is chambered for .45 Colt. The 26” long blued barrel, blued receiver, blued tube and dark sights gives it stylish looks. Its wood furniture and straight stock with a concave butt and corresponding buttplate gives it timeless style. The gun is a reproduction of the Colt Lightning Carbine rifle produced 1884 to 1904. But this reproduction debuted in the mid-2000s.

In front, the gun carries a blade front sight that you can drift adjust. In back is an adjustable buckhorn rear sight you can fine-tune for elevation. The flat-head screw fastened forend is diamond hatched for texture. The textured hammer has a hammer decocker button. Nearby is the tang-mounted Taurus Security System that uses a little key to secure the gun from those who shouldn’t be using it. It’s not completely fool-proof but does provide a level of security. The trigger guard has the classic racetrack oval form.

The gun is a hammer-fired pump-action, and it is fast and nicely balanced.
