The Troy Industries Pump Action Rifle (PAR) .223 / 5.56 mm or .300 AAC Blackout / 7.62 mm is a 10+1 optics ready AR-15. Or is it? No, it’s a pump-action instead of a semi-automatic, but it uses the AR-15’s modular architecture, versatility and ergonomics. This gun comes only in black.
It has a manual safety on either side of the receiver, a standard trigger and a 16” Melonite barrel with a 1:7” RH twist ratio. Melonite is a heat-treatment nitriding process that infuses the barrel with additional protection. Overall length is 34” to 37” depending on how the stock is set. And the PAR weighs about 6 pounds.
Troy is vertically integrated, so it’s not just sourcing and assembling parts from others. Thus, fronting the barrel is a 3/4x24” TPI birdcage TROY Medieval Muzzle Break. Housing the barrel is a TROY TRX2-style handguard with a full-length Picatinny top rail and a cleverly integrated pump action forend.
In back is a large, fixed TROY Lightweight BattleAx CQB Stock. It has built-in storage within its expansive polymer flanks. It also has a heavy duty Q.D. Push Bottom Swivel and Q.D. swivel sockets. The shotgun’s A2-style pistol grip is a TROY BattleAx Pistol Grip with a locking floor plate so you can use the grip for storage.
