At first glance, the lightweight Wilson Combat Protector Series AR Pistol looks like various other ARs. Then do a double-take, this time lingering to take in details. Fit and finish are ultra-precise. This pistol grip’s flanks have attractive starburst radian panels. The magwell has a forward toe. The buttstock is not the common full or skeleton triangle but a sideways curved “V” Tailhook Mod 2 adjustable brace. It’s injection-molded polymer, with five settings and up to 12.75 length of pull. There seems to be so little to it, but it’s remarkably strong and comfortable in spite of its light weight.

Framed within the glove-friendly oversize aluminum tactical trigger guard is Wilson Combat’s four pound pull M2 two-stage TTU trigger unit that delivers crisp breaks reliably and repeatedly.

Here are some key dimensions. The barrel is 11.3” and weight is 5.625 pounds. The gun is 27.5” to 30” depending on whether the brace is collapsed or extended. And the magazine holds 20 rounds.
