This week’s auction item is a 10/22® Carbine rifle with a brown and black laminate stock. The serial number, 231-11321, tells us this firearm was testfired December 22, 1988. The serial number and “tree bark” laminate stock style indicates this rifle may have been a distributor exclusive sample. This rifle has never been fired beyond normal factory testfiring. The 10/22® Carbine rifle has a blued finish with a metal trigger assembly and barrel band. The frame is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. It also features an 18-1/2 inch barrel; fold-down, folding-leaf sporting rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation; a gold bead front sight dovetailed onto the base; and a curved butt plate. It has a non-protruding magazine release, and a 10-round magazine is included with the rifle. The rifle is being sold “as is.” The purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. It will be shipped in the Ruger rifle box it had been stored in along with an appropriate instruction manual, and a yellow cable lock. The 10/22® is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut. A Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction. Note: the winner of this auction will be responsible for paying the Federal Excise Tax.
