 Fine Estate & Consignment Firearms!

This auction is for a WWII Webley MARK IV 38/200 - 38 S&W revolver. The revolver has all matching numbers and is all original. This is a "WAR FINISH" marked gun as you can see in the pictures. That marking came about when WWII came along and Enfield couldn't keep up with the demand for its version of this little revolver, so the British government contracted Webley for all the MARK IV's they could manufacture. That demand was so great that Webley couldn't take the time to finish the revolvers properly. It was known that they were embarrassed by the fact they had to leave grind and tooling marks on the guns. The obvious solution was to spell it out literally and some MARK IV's had "WAR FINISH" stamped on the left side. This revolver shows a bright and excellent bore with no issues. The finish is in excellent condition with a few tiny spots of freckling here and there as shown. It has clear inspector broad arrow markings and the "WAR FINISH" marking as shown. There are no import or export markings on the gun. There are several proof marks on the barrel assembly. On the barrel flat in front of the cylinder on the left side there is a crown over “GR” and crossed cannons over a “P”. The right side of the frame above the grip is marked with several proof marks, including an “E”, a crown, “1E” and a bird or arrow mark. The serial number is found on the right side of the frame above the trigger; 119633. It is also on the right side of the grip frame under the grip as shown. The flat on the right side of the barrel assembly in front of the cylinder is marked “38 767 3.5 Tons “, and a difficult to read proof mark over “NP”. The back of the cylinder is marked with the numbers “11 96 33” with these numbers stamped over three separate chambers. The bakelite grips are correct and marked 2. and 2.. on the back with no chips, cracks or repairs. The lanyard loop is still on the gun as you can see in all the full sized high resolution pictures below. The caliber is .38/200 but know as .380 in the U.K. and 38 S&W to us. The cylinder has movement when at rest but when the trigger is pulled and held there with the hammer down there is no movement and it locks up tight. Overall this is an excellent example of a WWII pistol that is not seen in this condition very often anymore. So look at all the full sized pictures and decide if this is one that belongs in your collection.

This will be shipped fully insured with signature tracking to your FFL dealer or C&R holder USPS Priority Mail for $28.00.

Payment ~ At the end of an auction Gun Broker sends out an email stating that you are the winning bidder. Contained in that email is a "PAY NOW" link you can use to pay for the auction immediately. Or, payment can be with a USPS Postal Money Order, check or Certified Bank Check. We also accept Visa, Master Card and Discover with a 3% convenience fee added to your total. Those payment methods ship the same day, as long as it is a week day. If not, the next working UPS day. Personal and business checks are accepted but will delay shipping from 7 to 10 working days for it to clear our bank. Remember clearing our bank not your bank since we have no control over the time frame.
Shipping your Firearm ~ Long Guns are sent UPS ground fully insured to your FFL dealer or C&R holder when valid on the firearm. Handguns are sent USPS Priority Mail, insured, to your FFL dealer or C&R holder when valid on the firearm. Please note that gun purchases cannot be “picked up” at our location. The "VALID" C&R holder is the person whose name is on the C&R License, and is the "SAME" person who won the auction! NO EXCEPTIONS! We ship Monday through Friday so your gun reaches you in a timely manner. Once payment and FFL are in hand, we ship the next business day. And email you the delivery date and tracking number at that time!
Inspection Period ~ All used firearms come with a 3-day inspection privilege. Inspection period begins the day of delivery to your FFL. It is your responsibility to inspect the gun in that time frame. In the case of a return, buyer pays all return costs. This does not cover items damaged in shipment; you must save the damaged shipping box and file a claim with the appropriate shipping company. All items must be in the exact condition that they left us in. The inspection period does not include the firing of the firearm. If the Buyer does fire the firearm at any time during the inspection period, the sale is considered final. Inspection consists of external examination, working the action by hand to see it operates, checking bore and having the headspace checked by a gunsmith. No further disassembly is permitted, includes but not limited to turning any screws or removing any punch pins.
Shipping Requirements ~ All firearms are shipped to your FFL or a valid C&R holder if the firearm qualifies for it. A copy of your dealers FFL must be in hand before we ship! The same applies for a C&R holder. Any firearm that qualifies for "Antique" status will be shipped directly to the winning bidder. A copy of bidder's driver's license for proof of age will be needed. We ship ship "5" days a week, Monday through Friday!
Contact and Local Pickup ~ Please note that purchases cannot be “picked up” at our location. If you need to contact us about the auction our email address and phone number are included in the invoice that is sent to the winning bidder.
End of Auction~ We send out an email directly at the end of the auction to the winning bidder. This is done through the Gun Broker system and sent to the email that you registered with and is on file. Please make sure that email is current with Gun Broker! There are instructions on how to complete the purchase included in that email.
Please Note ~ Modern firearms must be transferred to your FFL dealer. This is done once payment has cleared and your dealer's FFL license is in hand. The FFL may be sent by email or mail. A C&R license is acceptable for C&R firearms only (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old). Please note that a C&R license is only valid for the person to whom it is issued! We will not accept your friend's C&R license for a firearm YOU won. California Residents: We will ship to California whenever legal to do so. Many older handguns cannot be shipped into California due to your State's Restrictions. If the handgun in this auction is not on the current California Roster of Certified Handguns, DO NOT BID! The list can be checked here: CALIFORNIA HANDGUN ROSTER. C&R Handguns are exempt from this restriction however California law will NOT allow shipment of C&R HANDGUN directly to the C&R holder. It must be shipped to an FFL licensed 01 dealer. We can ship C&R LONG GUNS directly to a California C&R holder but only if that C&R holder ALSO has a current California Certificate of Eligibility (COE). New York Residents: Handguns cannot be shipped directly to a C&R holder in the State of New York and must be transferred through a dealer. Antique cartridge handguns require an FFL transfer in New York City. Antique firearms require bidder to supply proof of age. Some areas still require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.)
