Remington 1903-A3 stamped in very good to excellent condition. The barrel is 24" and the bore is bright and shiny. The rifle has a period style scope with post and crosshair reticle.

The bluing on the scope is about 70% with excellent crystal clear optics. The stock has a few handling marks as can be seen in the pictures. Beautiful patina on the receiver and barrel. Late serial number - rifle manufactured in Dec 1943. Barrel date 7-44 so I cannot confirm whether or not the barrel is original to this rifle.

I believe this rifle to be one of the 1903-A3 rifles that were converted to accommodate the use of a scope (the model 1903-A4) by government contractors but cannot guarantee it is an authentic 1903-A4. I have learned through my research that, in a rush to get many of the 1903 A3 rifles converted to accommodate scopes, the arsenals continued to use the 1903-A3 stamping for a time. This rifle looks to have complete Remington parts but I can’t guarantee all.

Please review all pictures carefully for the best description I can provide. All questions must be asked BEFORE, I repeat BEFORE, placing a bid. I will not take additional pictures or attempt to answer questions about the rifle AFTER the auction is over. I have many rifles to sell as the executor of an estate and do not have time to fire them all but I have inspected them for basic mechanical operation and cosmetics. As with most surplus rifles, they should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to firing.

All federal, state and local laws followed and come into play. Please be sure you can purchase this in your state. No California sales unless your FFL accepts transfers directly from non FFL. Shipping to the lower 48 states is $45.00. Shipping rates to Alaska and Hawaii will be higher and are available upon request. Payment to be made via USPS or Certified Money Orders Only. No personal checks or credit cards. Bid with confidence. Good luck bidding because I do not end auctions early.

Buyer must provide signed copy of either C&R License or FFL (or agent's FFL) with payment. I am not a gun dealer so please confirm that your FFL accepts firearms from non FFL person or do not bid.
