Pre WWII German Stag Handled Presentation Hermann Goering Hunting Dagger complete with scabbard of forest green leather and frog. Almost 20 inches in entire length. Mint Condition with no bends, nicks or other blemishes. Made by the firm of ALCOSO or Alex Coppel and Sons. Crossguard is a heavy brass Nazi eagle. False Damascus engraved blade with inscriptions dates and signature of the Third Reich Hunting Meister, Hermann Goering. WWI flying ace and hero, winner of the Order Pour le' Merite' or "Blue Max." Later number two in the Nazi Party where he became the world's most accomplished art thief. Head of Germany's Luftwaffe (Airforce) and overall heavyweight big wig physically and otherwise (ie aka Fat Herman). He was instrumental in preserving Europe's last remaining old growth forest and was the Third Reich's "earth friendly" number one Hunting Meister while at the same time earning his reputation as a war criminal guilty of thousands of innocent deaths. Engraved blade on one side "Seinem Lieben Freund Alpers Falkner Hot-Riddagshausen den 3 Nov 1937." and the other "Der Reichsjaeger Meister" and signature of "Hermann Goering." This was the hunting area and village where the "Hermann Goering Foundation" was established 31 March 1935 in the German State of Braunschweig. Goeing's hunting lodge was named "Green Hunter." In 1944 it was bombed by the British. Both dope addict and cross-dresser he cheated the hangman at Judgement at Nuremburg by taking cyanide capsule. This dagger is a beautiful example of one extremely rare and desirable artifacts of WWII and named to a bona fide historical bad guy of tremendous proportions. MAKE AN OFFER!
