Parker Bros Finely Engraved DH SxS Shotgun !

Item Description

12 gauge, c.1903 !

Here we have a Parker Bros Finely Engraved DH SxS Shotgun from 1903 chambered for 12 gauge shotshells.
This firearm is in good ANTIQUE condition. We have found absolutely NO CRACKS in the stocks or bulges to the barrels. She comes apart smoothly and goes back together just as easy ! The previous owner also applied to the Parker Gun Collectors Assn. for a detailed report on the history of this firearm, which will be included in the box with the firearm.

The Letter from The Parker Gun Collectors Association:
"Parker shotgun, serial number 116784, was ordered by E.K. Tryon Company in Philadelphia, PA on February 13, 1903, and shipped on April 24, 1903. According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 58 it was DH hammerless, 12-gauge. It featured Titanic steel barrels with a length of 30 inches. Its stock configuration was a capped pistol girp and the forend was checkered all over. The chokes were patterned RH (220 # 7 pellets in a 30" circle at 40 yards) and LH (250 # 7 pellets in a 30" circle at 40 yards). According to Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 41, its specifications were: Length of Pull 14 1/4", Drop at Comb: 1 3/4", Drop at Heel: 3" and Weight: 7 pounds and 6 ounces. The price was $100.00."

The letter goes on to say that over the years repairs and changes may have been made by previous owners and since complete Parker factory return and repair records do not exist it is difficult to say if any changes have been made since the firearm has left the factory.

The Basic Stats:
Bore: Still shiny - Shows signs of previous firing but no divots or bulges.

Barrel: 30 inches

Length of Pull: 1st Trigger 14.25 inches, 2nd Trigger 13.25 inches

Total Length: 46 inches

Action: Break barrel w/ Extractors

Front Sight: Silver Colored Bead

Rear Sight: None

Furniture: NO CRACKS - Shows signs of previous use. On right side of wrist there is a indent, like a firm scratch. Starts on the top right part of the wrist and extends approximately 1 inch down the side. We took a closeup picture so you could see it IS a scratch NOT a crack or break.

Overall: This is a BEAUTIFUL shotgun ! We have only found ONE slightly "buggered" screw, the one behind the trigger guard. ALL SERIAL NUMBERS MATCH - including the one ON the trigger guard ("N116784"). She will be shipped in a soft zippered case with the letter in a protective sleeve and lovingly packed in a cardboard box.

Some of our GB customers have asked about barrel wall thickness and choke diameter : We do not have the proper tools to give you those numbers, nor are we in the position to get them at this time.
What we can tell you - Looks like the edges are about the thickness of the edge of a penny. Although the dime is REALLY close as well. After running a bore buffer through it - Looks like there is a light bit of something in the front of the right tube - just a few light "off color" patches catch my eye. Patches ran through reveal no off colors - like red or green or blue green.
Please also note that we have a 3 Day "NO SHOOT" inspection policy should you desire to have the "nitty gritty" measurements checked.

This firearm is a C&R firearm by ATF standards. We MUST have a FFL or C&R license to ship.
