For sale I have a fine Colt SAA (1901) that is in excellent functioning condition with great finish. Has had some modifications in the past, the cylinders have been honed so the fired shells drop free with the gate open and muzzle pointing the sky. The front sight has been filed down to be on at 75yards and cylinders dimpled to number the cylinder. The grips are Colt replacement grips that could possibly be fitted a little tighter but are genuine Colt grips. Lockup is tight and the whole mechanism is good. The modifications were not done recently and had been done by the previous owner over 50yrs ago, it has sat since approx 1952 and not been fired since that owner had passed on. We figure from what was told of the previous owner that it was modified to be used in self defense, not for games. The bore has some pitting, is not dark and has strong rifling. Any questions feel free to ask. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!!
