I am selling this pistol for someone else so I will be as accurate as possible in it's description as possible for everyone's sake. First of all; the safety will stop the hammer before it hits the firing pin but does NOT stop the trigger from dropping the hammer!!!!! 15 groove grips, 30 Mauser caliber, 5 1/2" barrel, # 906384 stamped behind rear sight. No other serial numbers are stamped anywhere. There are dot matrix (Chinese?) characters stamped on the left side of the upper receiver just above the magazine well, behind the chamber. The bore is actually pretty good! A little dark, maybe very light pitting, uniformly. It's actually more of just a slight darkening of the bore, not really pitting. The lands and grooves are well defined, maybe slightly worn on the sharp edges. There's a tiny "U" stamped on the top of the bolt "knobs" behind the rear sight and another just in front of the mag well on the underside of the chamber area of the upper receiver. The lanyard ring on the bottom of the grip is longitudinal, in the direction of the barrel/bore. Everything works very positively, nice movement with appropriately strong spring tention. It appears the safety lever issue is the only problem. There's some pretty heavy pitting just above the left grip. The rest of the pistol just has an even patina. The grips are not cracked or chipped, really nice actually. It is the winning bidder's responsibility to supply me with their own C&R license or their dealer's FFl, NOT mine to have to track it down. I will NOT ship this pistol to CALIFORNIA! THANKS FOR LOOKING!
