Browning Superposed 12 gauge. Made in 1951, serial number 23633 wears 30-inch barrels with a double-bead rib and 2.75-inch chambers. Opened from the original full chokes, it now gauges IC/IC (on a plunger) and the barrels are further modified with Seminole forcing cones. The barrels have also been ported (11 ports each) and the action hard chromed. It has been restocked as well and exhibits bold, rich figure. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.4 pounds. Length-of-pull is 13.9 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.35 inches and cast off is approximately 1.0-inch. CONDITION: As modified, the bores remain strong and solid on face. The opening lever rests at center. Ejectors are strong and the both the inertia trigger and selector operate properly. CONDITION: Barrel blue is approximately 85 percent due to modest thinning. The hard chrome is approximately the same. Wood is at least 90 percent. Markings have softened. The price is firm and layaway is available.
