(MAKE AN OFFER) S191M, Issued for late Indian Wars, regimentally marked on stock 36 and 27. Serial numbered 532789. Rifles in this range were issued to Co E 2nd New York Vol Infantry Regiment; 36th US Vol Inf Reg 27th US Vol Inf Reg, so take your pick. Still in very good serviceable, used condition, sound walnut stock. All metal surfaces show dulled blue finish with some brown smooth patina. Nice rifled bore in very good condition too and it comes with the original leather sling. Fine Buffington adjustable rear sight and steel front blade sight. Original ramrod/bayonet intact. All fully functional, breech block dated 1884. 3 notch tumbler sharp and precise. Fine markings everywhere. Inspection cartouche on stock barely readable, but there nonetheless. Interestingly, near the cartouche, the wood is stamped with the word EXPERT. Needs a decent cleaning overall and bound to please. All original, complete and functioning well with lot's of character and history thrown in for good measure. 51.5" overall length. SAFETY NOTICE: We do not sell firearms, only collectible antiques.
